Durack Civil was contracted by Moreton Bay Council to reconstruct and widen 2 sections of Mt Nebo Road.
This Australian Government Black Spot funded project is to improve road safety on a 130m section and 190 m section of Mount Nebo Road Mount Nebo. The project scope includes road widening and shoulders on curve, improvements to horizontal alignment and superelevation, and installation of crash barrier, retaining wall works, service relocations and slope stabilisation works - shotcreting and soil nailing. The project has originated as a result of being identified as a black spot based on crash history. The objective of the project is to improve safety for all road users.
Durack's scope of work included detail design and construction of 2 large retaining wall solutions on sharp corners to provide greater long term road stability.
