Oakey Biddeston Road Upgrade

Toowoomba Regional Council contracted Durack Civil to reconstruct and widen 2 km of Oakey Biddeston Road in Oakey Qld.

With its local depot in Toowoomba and significant past experience delivering rural road construction projects in SE Qld, Durack was able to provide a value for money price for the 2 km of road construction works.

The works included upgrading the scour protection around a bridge abutment involving complex in creek Gabion works.

The project also involved the profiling and reusing of insitu pavement material in lower pavement layers, earthworks and drainage upgrades, base course pavement construction and bitumen seal.

With an in-house environmental engineer, Durack was able to develop robust management strategies to reduce risk and perform the works within close proximity to existing protected grasslands.
