Durack Civil was contracted by Barcoo Shire Council to reconstruct and upgrade a number of existing causeway structures that had been damaged during recent flooding.
Sites included Stonehenge Access Road, Yaraka Retreat Road and Haughton Vale Road. Scope of works included construction of new box culverts, headwalls, aprons, base slabs, pavement approaches, rock protection and concrete floodways and batter protection.
The remote sites required the use of a mobile concrete batch plant and superior planning due to the logistically challenging nature of the sites.
