Project Description:
Widening of the Brickworks Road and Carbeen Road Intersections with the Kennedy Highway.
Scope:
- bulk and detailed earthworks,
- pavement construction,
- drainage infrastructure,
- landscaping,
- pipe culverts,
- asphalt and 2 coat seal,
- concrete pits and concrete lined drains
Challenges:
Managing two seperate work sites at the same time proved challenging for supervisors and engineers. To their credit, the project team managed to generate synergies between the two sites, sharing resources as required in order to minimise machinery downtime.
