Durack Civil was engaged by Toowoomba Regional Council to demolish and reconstruct 8 large box culvert structures throughout the region to improve flood immunity and road safety.
Scope:
The scope of work included reconstruction of multi cell box culvert structures including base slabs, wing walls, aprons, subgrade replacement, clearing works, floodway slabs, concrete road pavements, gravel pavements and 2 coat seal.
Challenges:
Durack employed sophisticated dewatering staging in order to construct the works during the wet season and meet funding timelines.
