Project Description:
Construction of 24 x 8 m wide x 30 m long concrete floodways within the Central Highlands Region - Locations including: Blackwater, Springsure, Emerald, Gemfields, Capella and Rolleston Qld.
Scope:
Traffic management, side track construction, excavation, subgrade treatment, concrete floodway construction, signage installation, insitu cement stabilisation, pavement construction.
Challenges:
Effective planning around the logistics of material supply was critical to the success of the project due to the large distances between the concrete batch plants and floodway locations.
