Banana Shire Council engaged Durack Civil to reconstruct, widen and overlay 1.5 km of 3 Chain Road near Moura Qld - access to the Moura Mine.
Scope:
The works involved clear and grubbing, topsoil stripping, embankment fill, drain excavation, insitu road stabilisation, pavement construction and 2 coat seal. All works were completed to TMR specifications.
Challenges:
The works had to be completed under a tight timeframe in order to meet end of financial year budget requirements - Durack optimised its work program to enable various scope elements to be completed in parallel.
