Scope

Durack Civil was engaged by Queensland Airports Limited to undertake the construction works associated with the demolition and installation of the new northern culvert crossing.

The scope of works include demolition of existing culvert crossing including contaminated materials testing & disposal, detailed excavation & subgrade preparation, construction of the new culvert crossing, FRP retaining walls, relieving slabs, installation of guardrail & fencing, unbound pavement, prime, seal & AC surfacing, installation of culvert screens & winching system & landscaping.

Working within a PFAS contaminated waterway, presence and treatment of acid sulphate soils, working within Gold Coast Airport's strict safety protocols & management of foreign object debris.
