Ross Lane Safety Improvements

Durack Civil was recently contracted by Ballina Shire Council to complete the reconstruction and shoulder widening works of Ross Land, Lennox Head. The Scope of works includes excavation and removal of existing earthworks, subgrade, pavements formation, acid sulphate soil and uncontrolled fill removal, stormwater upgrades, sewer relocations, electricity and communication relocations, kerb and gutter, landscaping, property access adjustments, traffic control. The biggest challenges experienced on the job is the high traffic count with a narrow road corridor resulting in complicated traffic staging over multiple segments of the road, unsuitable subgrade material and long periods of inclement weather.
