Nebo Showgrounds Masterplan Stage 1
Scope
Durack Civil successfully delivered Stage 1 of the Nebo Showgrounds Masterplan for Isaac Regional Council, providing a major upgrade to civil and services infrastructure within the showgrounds precinct. Delivered under a construct-only contract, the project supported Council’s long-term vision to modernise and enhance the functionality, safety, and accessibility of this key community facility.
Works included bulk earthworks, pavement and hardstand construction, installation of underground services and drainage, and coordination of associated electrical and utility infrastructure. Delivered within an active community environment, the project required careful staging to maintain access and minimise disruption to ongoing events and operations within the showgrounds.
Throughout delivery, the project was shaped by evolving scope requirements driven by budget constraints, requiring close collaboration with Council and consultants to refine design, sequencing, and construction methodologies. Durack Civil successfully navigated these changes through proactive planning, flexible programming, and transparent communication, ensuring alignment with project objectives while maintaining progress.
The project also involved managing regional construction challenges, including wet weather impacts and complex logistics. Through adaptive delivery and strong stakeholder engagement, Durack Civil delivered a high-quality outcome that establishes a robust foundation for future stages of the Nebo Showgrounds Masterplan.
