Gliderport Road Infrastructure Construction

Durack Civil was engaged by Mount Isa City Council to construct Gliderport Road and associated infrastructure at Healy, Mount Isa. The project involves delivery of new stormwater drainage, road formation and pavement, sealed surfacing, road furniture and intersection lighting.

The scope of works included establishment and set-out, service locating and protection, clearing and earthworks to build the road formation to design, construction of new stormwater drainage including culverts and associated inlet/outlet treatments.

Works also included placement and trimming of pavement layers, application of a sprayed bituminous seal, and completion of tie-ins to existing roads.

The project was completed with line marking and road furniture, and the supply, installation and commissioning of solar-powered intersection flag lighting at the nominated intersections.
