Scarr Street Revitalisation

Durack Civil has been engaged by Cloncurry Shire Council to deliver the Scarr Street Revitalisation Project, upgrading the town’s main street between Sheaffe and Station Streets. The project replaces ageing underground services, renews road and pedestrian infrastructure, and creates new landscaped public spaces that link with Florence Clark Park and the future John Flynn Place precinct.

Works include full pavement reconstruction, new stormwater, water, sewer, irrigation and communications networks, a new roundabout, undergrounding of Ergon’s electrical network, upgraded street lighting, and installation of shade structures, furniture, and public art.

Delivering in the heart of Cloncurry requires tight staging, traffic management, coordination with Ergon, and careful planning around limited space, regional logistics, and wet-season conditions.
