Scope

Maranoa Regional Council engaged Durack Civil to design and construct leachate and stormwater management systems at Council's Roma Waste Management Facility. The works address the need for compliant drainage and leachate containment infrastructure at the active waste facility, ensuring ongoing environmental compliance and operational performance.

The stormwater scope included earthworks, excavation and construction of a sediment pond, clean drains north and south, and a dirty water drain, including geotextile and aggregate inlet/outlet works. The leachate scope included trench excavation, supply and placement of HDPE barrier and separation geotextile, HDPE subsoil drain pipe, three sumps, and site reinstatement with topsoil and grass cover. All works included construction quality assurance and certification.
