Scope

Durack Civil was engaged by QM Properties to deliver civil works at 1–21 Pettigrew Street, Caboolture. The project involved the construction of internal roads, drainage infrastructure, bulk earthworks, and pedestrian facilities, supporting the development of a new urban precinct. Works were delivered in accordance with designs by Inertia Engineering and DWP Architects.

The scope of works included bulk earthworks to achieve design levels for roads, car parks, and footpaths, incorporating cut, fill, compaction, and erosion and sediment controls. Civil works included construction of internal access roads and car parking areas with asphalt and concrete pavements, installation of kerb and channel, signage, and line marking. Pedestrian works included construction and upgrade of concrete footpaths, pram ramps, tactile indicators, and pedestrian crossings to meet DDA compliance. Drainage works comprised installation and upgrade of stormwater infrastructure including grated inlets, manholes, uPVC and RCP pipelines, strip drains, trench grates, and subsoil drainage connected to existing systems.

Delivered within an established urban environment, the project required close coordination with existing and relocated services including water, sewer, electrical, and telecommunications. Works also involved modifications to existing infrastructure, including kerb and channel, lighting, and landscaping. Careful staging and traffic management were implemented to maintain safe access throughout construction, with all works completed in accordance with MBRC specifications, QUDM, IPWEA standards, and approved environmental and development conditions.
