Peak Downs Mine Access Road
Scope
Durack Civil has been engaged by Isaac Regional Council to deliver the rehabilitation of approximately 1.1 kilometres of the Peak Downs Mine Access Road, a high-traffic, heavy vehicle route servicing major mining operations in the region. The objective of the project is to restore the structural integrity and surface condition of the road to enhance safety, reliability, and overall service life. With constant heavy vehicle movements, including oversize loads and spikes in traffic volumes during shift changes. The works have been carefully staged to minimise disruption and maintain access throughout construction.
Key drainage infrastructure has also been extended along the alignment. This includes the demolition of existing culvert end structures and the installation of new reinforced concrete end structures, aprons, and rock protection. As a critical transport link for the region’s mining operations, Durack Civil is proud to deliver long-term value through reliable, durable, and high-quality infrastructure.
