Scope

DTMR engaged Durack Civil to deliver pavement rehabilitation and resurfacing works across Djarragun Way and Warner Road near Gordonvale in Far North Queensland. The two roads required different treatment approaches, with Djarragun Way primarily requiring resurfacing and Warner Road requiring full pavement reconstruction on failed sections in addition to resealing.

Works on Djarragun Way covered approximately 46,100m² of pavement preparation and two-coat bitumen seal with precoated cover aggregate, asphalt patching to failed areas, drainage pipe installation, clearing and grubbing, and full line marking reinstatement including edge lines, barrier lines, raised pavement markers and associated signage. Warner Road covered 12,400m² of pavement preparation and two-coat bitumen seal, with excavation and full replacement of failed pavement base with plant-mixed stabilised base on deteriorated sections, and line marking reinstatement. Both packages included traffic management planning and implementation, and erosion and sediment control.
