Yielo Rd Safety Upgrades Package

The Yielo Road Safety Upgrades project enhanced road conditions to facilitate site mobilisation for the Borumba Pumped Hydro Energy Storage Project while ensuring full compliance with Somerset Regional Council (SRC) specifications. Successfully delivered on time and to a high standard, the project strengthened Durack Civil’s relationship with QLD Hydro, leading to further work opportunities. The scope involved 3.2 km of 100mm gravel re-sheeting using 3,000 tonnes of material, the installation of 120 m³ of drainage blanket, tree root removal, minor cut-to-fill earthworks, and the installation of fencing and gates. The project navigated challenges such as undulations, scours, tree root intrusions, and drainage issues, all while adhering to strict SRC requirements. Durack Civil’s expertise in delivering high-quality road infrastructure ensured the project’s success despite these complexities.
