Scope

Durack Civil has been engaged by the Cassowary Coast Regional Council to undertake critical restoration works under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) following the impact of Tropical Cyclone Jasper, which hit the Queensland coast as a Category 2 system in December 2023.

The scope of works includes the importation and placement of over 127,000 tonnes of locally-sourced gravel, heavy formation grading, and gravel resheeting to reinstate damaged roads. Additional tasks encompass bulk filling, patch repairs, in-situ stabilisation, sealing, pipework replacement, and headwall reconstruction, all while ensuring stringent traffic management measures are in place.
