Floraville Stages 1A, 2, 3, 4
Scope
Durack Civil was contracted by Burke Shire Council to undertake the full reconstruction of 31.7 kilometres of road across four stages, between chainages 32,700 and 64,440, within the remote Indigenous community of Burke, approximately 50 kilometres southeast of Burketown in northwest Queensland. The comprehensive scope includes subgrade lime stabilisation, formation recycling, in-situ sub-base cement stabilisation, concrete works for culverts and floodways, bitumen sealing, line marking, installation of road furniture, and associated ancillary works. The project’s remote location poses complex logistical challenges, requiring strategic mobilisation, precise freight coordination, and rigorous supply chain scheduling to maintain program efficiency. Durack Civil ensures all works are delivered with strong stakeholder engagement and a commitment to cultural and environmental sensitivity throughout every phase of the project.
