Scope

Durack Civil were engaged to undertake the design and construction of 2 x concrete floodways in accordance with TMRand TfSW specifications, with specific note to the heavy vehicle percentage of traffic in this undertaking. Complex staging of the works were required to mitigate the duration of the works and the impact to the Moonie Highway, whilst completing the works in accordance to the relevant specifications and maintaining a quality product at completion.

The scope of works include demolition of culvert structures, clearing and grubbing, earthworks cut and embankment fill operations inclusive of detailed drainage works, profiling of existing road surface through stabilised pavement, placement of lean mix concrete sub-base, detailed excavation for concrete floodway footings, placement of concrete floodways, installation of road furniture, asphalt placement and linemarking, all whilst maintaining traffic flow and mitigating disruption to road users with traffic arrangements.
