2024 DRFA Restoration Works Pack 04 Doomadgee

Durack Civil was engaged by Burke Shire Council to deliver vital road restoration works under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) in response to damage from the 2023 North Queensland Monsoon and Flooding Event. The project scope included full pavement reconstruction, gravel resheeting, heavy shoulder grading, bulk earthworks, table drain reshaping, and floodway upgrades across both priority urban and rural roads. Durack Civil maximised local resources by sourcing pavement materials from nearby borrow pits and implemented targeted stabilisation treatments to enhance long-term road resilience and ensure infrastructure durability in future weather events.
