Scope

Durack Civil was recently contracted by Doomadgee Aboriginal Shire Council to undertake the 2023 DRFA restoration works in multiple affected areas within the Doomadgee Township and Wooloogarang Road West. Durack Civil has worked for Doomadgee Aboriginal Shire Council on projects in the past and the award of this package is a testament to the quality of works produced on every project.

The scope of works includes import of over 20,000t of material, gravel resheeting and formation grading, re-establishment of roadside drainage and table drains, insitu stabilisation treatment of subgrade, placement of pavement gravels and bitumen spray seal in an extremely remote and rural location in Queensland.

Due to the rural and remote nature of the project location, Durack Civil is faced with multiple challenges with regards to resourcing, material supply and programming security to enable the works to be performed efficiently for our client. Thanks to the collaboration with council we were able to manage these challenges successfully building a strong relationship with locals and council.
