Durack Civil is proud to be the leading sponsor of the Dreamtime Academy, a high-impact AFL camp currently underway in Alice Springs led by professional AFLW players. The camp empowers young Indigenous women through sport, mentorship, and community connection.
This initiative was founded by Sydney Swans AFL star and Alice Springs Emergency Doctor, Lulu Pullar, who saw the talent of local Indigenous youth and the lack of opportunities to develop it. Rallying her teammates and the wider AFL community, she helped create a platform to showcase and support these young athletes. The Academy brings together captains and players from multiple AFLW teams to deliver elite training, mentorship, and exposure for local talent.
When we heard about this initiative, we knew we had to be involved. Its values align with our own — building strong female leaders, inspiring positive change, and creating real pathways to education and employment.
Durack Civil is committed to backing programs that deliver lasting impact, and we look forward to seeing the incredible outcomes of Dreamtime Academy in Alice Springs and beyond.
