Burketown School Ranger Program Garden

Our commitment to Burketown

Durack Civil has been working in Burketown for the past two years, and in that time we’ve built a deep, long-standing relationship with the Burke Shire community, one grounded in trust, respect, and genuine local investment from day one. Our team has lived here, worked here, and walked alongside the families, schools, organisations, and traditional owners who make Burketown the remarkable place it is.

As part of that commitment, Durack Civil has proudly funded the construction of a new footpath through the Burketown School’s Ranger Program garden. This is more than a path, it’s a practical, meaningful contribution that supports cultural education, environmental stewardship, and the development of the next generation of local leaders.

The Ranger Program is a space where students learn about Country, culture, responsibility, and community pride. By creating safe, accessible walkways through this garden, we’re helping strengthen that connection, giving young people a pathway that literally and symbolically links them to their land and heritage.

For us, this is what long-term partnership looks like: investing in projects that matter, listening to community priorities, and ensuring the benefits of our work extend far beyond construction. We’re proud to continue standing with Burketown, supporting its families, and contributing to opportunities that will echo well into the future.
