Durack Civil was contracted by Moreton Bay Regional Council to realign, widen and improve safety on 2 sections of Mt Nebo Road.
This Australian Government Black Spot funded project was to improve road safety on a 130m section and 190 m section of Mount Nebo Road Mount Nebo. The project scope included road widening and shoulders on curve, improvements to horizontal alignment and superelevation, and installation of crash barrier, retaining wall works, service relocations and slope stabilisation works - shotcreting and soil nailing. The project has originated as a result of being identified as a black spot based on crash history. The objective of the project is to improve safety for all road users and pedestrians.
Durack's scope of work included detail design and construction of 5 large retaining solutions on sharp corners to provide greater long term road stability.
